Wheelchairs & Mobility Aids for POTS
You do not have to lose the use of your legs to deserve a tool that hands you your afternoon back. This self-paced course holds the whole conversation: the permission and the physiology behind it, the four kinds of chairs, the configuration choices that fit a POTS body, and how qualifying actually works. Built from the August 20 live session, with the recorded teaching woven through.
the permission was always yours. What's inside
- Why upright is expensive. Where the blood actually goes when you stand, why standing still is the hardest thing you do all day, and why a mobility aid is physiology, not surrender. Includes the unreliably-ambulatory reframe.
- The menu of choices. The four avenues, from the custom ultralight manual chair to the portable powered travel device, plus the everyday aids nobody counts. What each one buys you and what it costs you.
- The POTS build, spec by spec. Seat width, seat dump, wheel choice, push rims, and the power-assist energy math, each mapped to the reason a POTS body needs it.
- Qualifying, and the process. What insurers generally look for, in plain language, and the whole pathway: PT seating evaluation, assistive technology evaluation, your doctor, the vendor, the fitting, and what a denial actually means.
Written lessons with short videos from the live session, read and watched at your own pace, in the same gentle reader format as the other DazzlEd courses. The fillable take-away packet comes with it, including the provider handout and the insurance pathway.
Want a free taste first? The free Zebra Snack holds the permission piece: you're allowed to use a wheelchair to support your POTS. Grab it here.
Rather have it live? The same material, taught live with Q&A, happens Thursday, August 20, 2:00 to 4:00pm Eastern (ET), with the replay included and $50 of the fee crediting toward Steady Steps. Save a workshop seat.
