Dazzle Health · individual physical therapy, virtual

Physical therapy for the body the system keeps screening out.

One on one care with Julie Griffis, PT, for hypermobile, dysautonomic, sensitive bodies. All of it virtual, over Zoom, from your bed or your chair or your floor, wherever you are most at home in yourself.

yes, from your chair counts. it always counted.

If you have been the lowest-capacity body in every room

You have read your own labs at two in the morning. You have been handed the anxiety label instead of an answer, the get-stronger plan for a body that cannot reliably tolerate being upright, the protect-your-joints script that never once mentioned your nervous system. Maybe you are newly diagnosed with hEDS or HSD and standing in the "now what" with no one to ask. Maybe you have been sick for years inside an energy envelope measured in minutes, in POTS, in MCAS, in ME and CFS, in the post-exertional crash that every strength program lists as a reason not to enroll you. You are the person most of this field quietly leaves out. You are exactly who this practice was built to hold.

The order most programs get backwards

Most rehab fixes the structure and assumes the function will follow. That only works if the system is already regulated enough to respond, which yours often is not, and being told to push through has cost you before. My clinical model, Griffis Sensory-Metabolic Integration, inverts that order. We settle the organizing intelligence first, the nervous system and the metabolic floor, and the structure begins to reorganize itself once the body trusts that movement is safe. For a hypermobile body, stability is a nervous-system task long before it is a muscle task. That single sentence is the thing so much of the field is missing, and it is the ground beneath everything here. The promise I can actually keep is not a quick fix. It is safe enough to get strong.

What it feels like from the inside

You are met first, and believed first, before you are ever instructed. Your symptom is treated as information, not as failure, because your body was never wrong about what it was feeling. The pace is set by your battery, not by a protocol, so a low day is something the work already expects instead of something you have to apologize for. You are taught, in plain language about your own body, why the thing you feel is happening and where it originates, then handed the smallest real next step, never homework designed to make you feel behind. The tools and aids that help you are treated as freedom, not as something you are supposed to outgrow. Nobody here measures your worth by your losses.

Underneath, the work braids together in a way that surprises people. The deep-core and breath work we do is a pain intervention and a posture intervention and a neck intervention and a nervous-system intervention all at the same time, because in a body like yours those were never separate problems. It is deep science, made legible, never thinned.

Who this is not for

I would rather be honest with you now than spend your energy. This practice is built for complex, sensitive, often-misread bodies, the hypermobility and dysautonomia and mast-cell and post-exertional constellation. It is not the right home for acute injury rehab, post-surgical recovery, or general fitness training. If that is what your body needs right now, the kindest thing I can do is say so plainly, so you can find the right person faster.

How the care actually works

Everything is virtual, over Zoom, from wherever your body is most comfortable, so a flare or a low-battery day never costs you the appointment before it starts. I am licensed to provide physical therapy to clients located in Vermont or Tennessee at the time of the session. If you live outside those states, integrative health and wellness coaching may still be a fit, so note where you are on the application and we will sort out what is possible.

There are two separate ways to work with me one on one, and this part matters: the first is not a funnel into the second. You can do either one entirely on its own.

One-time Comprehensive Evaluation and Clinical Plan · $975

A standalone service, complete in itself. It is about four hours of combined face-to-face time and plan development, and it ends with a full clinical map built specifically for your body, yours to keep and work from at whatever pace your life allows. You come once, you leave with the map, and nothing about it commits you to ongoing sessions. This one is not eligible for SuperBill reimbursement.

Ongoing physical therapy · $275 initial, $175 follow-up

For people who want to work together over time. The initial evaluation is $275 for ninety minutes, and each follow-up is $175 for a full hour. A common arc is weekly for the first eight weeks, then every other week for three months, then monthly for three months, though your real plan follows your body and your capacity, never a template. For ongoing sessions I give you a SuperBill each time, which you can submit yourself to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. It is not guaranteed, and I do not bill or speak with insurance on your behalf.

All of it is private pay, with a card kept on file and charged after each session. PLEASE NOTE: I also hold a few one-on-one slots for people with Vermont Medicaid, so if that is you, note it on the application and I will let you know whether a spot is open.

What success looks like here

Not cure. I will not promise to fix you, because that promise is the one the system already sold you, and this practice is the correction to it. Success is inhabiting. It is staying in your life instead of leaving it to manage a condition full time. It is returning to the things you love, in a way your body can actually keep. It is a symptom that becomes a signal you can read instead of a verdict you fear. It is arriving lost and leaving with a map. Progress here is measured as contact, not completion, so a flare stops being a failure and becomes a day the method was built to hold.

When your body says it is time

The next step is the Individual Physical Therapy Application, which puts you on my priority list. There is no deadline on you from me. Whichever day you fill it out, the door will be open.
